JCSP

JCSP or the Junior Cert Schools Programme is offered to all students in Junior Cycle in St Patrick’s College. Students take the JCSP programme along with the Junior Cycle. Being part of JCSP means that St Patrick’s College can take advantage of initiatives such as the development of the school library and reading room, additional funding for school trips and school based celebrations. Each student is presented with a folder by the co-ordinator Ms Fahey and as they complete assignment in their various subjects, the folder builds up with their statements of learning. St Patrick’s organises Christmas celebrations for 1st and 2nd years and end of year celebrations for 3rd years. Current initiatives include:

• Gaeltacht Trip
• History / Geography Trip for 2nd years
• Cookery Cottage
• Christmas Celebration
• Digital Storytelling
• Christmas Market
