Internet Safety Talk for Parents
The 4 schools on the St Patrick’s College Campus are organising a talk for all parents on the topic of online safety. The talk will take place next Tuesday Evening January 13th @ 7:00 pm in St. Patrick’s College Secondary School. Damien Kelleher from Trend Micro will give the talk which will last for 1 hour. Trend Micro is one of the world’s leading internet security companies. Their European headquarters is located on the Model Farm Road, Cork where they have a team of over 220 people working in various roles to support their business. Being experts when it comes to Internet Security, their 5 year old Internet Safety for Kids and Families Programme is very important to them.
Their goal for this programme is to raise awareness and educate parents and children in the local community about being safe and responsible online. As an employer they also want to promote and encourage the benefits and uses of the internet to young people as it will be a big part of their future.The four schools on campus would really encourage you to attend this talk which will give you the skills to protect your child online.This talk is being organised by the four schools on the St Patrick’s Campus in conjunction with the Parents and Friends Association of St Patrick’s College.
